Seward to Anchorage

The Park Connection operates two daily trips during the summer between Seward and Anchorage and an additional morning departure from the cruise dock on select ship days only. The daily Park to Park route leaves late morning (and continues all the way to Denali after a stop in Anchorage). The second daily trip is on the Seward Express route. It’s perfectly timed to connect with passengers returning on day cruises from Kenai Fjords National Park. Tap below for a glimpse at the route.

The trip from Seward to Anchorage travels nearly 130 miles along the Seward Highway, a National Scenic Byway. It generally takes just under three hours, and every minute is scenic. As you depart Seward you’ll climb into the Kenai Mountains, traveling through the Chugach National Forest, alongside Kenai Lake, and over Turnagain Pass. After this, you’ll descend back to sea level and hug the scenic coastline of the Turnagain Arm. Dall sheep and bald eagles can often be seen along this rocky coastline, along with the occasional beluga whale and other wildlife.
