Bus Denali National Park to Seward

The motorcoach trip from Denali Park to Seward is an all day adventure that covers 360 miles and features a great variety of beautiful Alaskan scenery and the chance to see caribou, moose, sheep and bald eagles. The first leg of the trip travels 130 miles from Denali Park to Talkeetna on the Parks Highway.  Travel through Broad Pass and Denali State Park and view the peaks of the Alaska Range and the Talkeetna Mountains.  If weather permits, you will enjoy some spectacular views of Mt. Denali in route to Talkeetna.  After a brief stop at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge your journey continues for the 112-mile trip to Anchorage.   You will pass through the growing community of Wasilla before turning onto the Glenn Highway. Traffic will increase as many Wasilla residents commute to Anchorage for work. The highway goes over Knik River and Matanuska River, both glacially fed. You will know you are getting close to Anchorage when you pass the joint military bases of Elmendorf and Richardson.  The coach will stop for a lunch break on your own at the Dena'ina Civic Center in downtown Anchorage.  When your adventure to Seward continues you will travel through Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city, onto the Seward Highway.  This highway has earned the title of National Scenic Byway and features the Turnagain Arm, the Chugach National Forest, glacial valleys, mountain passes and picturesque Kenai Lake. The trip from Anchorage to Seward generally takes just under three hours.

The Park Connection bus line operates daily “Park to Park” service, the only transportation that connects Denali National Park and Seward’s Kenai Fjords National Park in one day. The trip features a morning departure from Denali and an early evening arrival in Seward. The coach departs from the Grande Denali, Denali Bluffs Hotel, McKinley Chalet, Denali Princess Lodge, Denali Park Village, and the Denali Cabins. This motorcoach makes a brief stop in Talkeetna and offers a longer lunch break on your own in downtown Anchorage in route to Seward.  Once in Seward the Park Connection will make stops at the Seward Windsong Lodge, Gateway Hotel, and the Small Boat Harbor.  On designated ship days, the motorcoach will also drop off passengers directly at the Seward cruise ship dock.
